<br> <br>CONSUMING SMOKE & EMBERS Left: Vapor E-Liquids The Coventry engine: 1884 Excerpt from Scientific American September 13, 1884 Page 163: A Smoke Consuming Locomotive “An engine of a novel kind, designed by Charles B Coventry, has not too long ago been constructed by the Brooks Locomotive Works, for the Chicago Locomotive Improvement Company.
